📘 ECCH2A1 Adaptor – FAQ
What does ECCH2A1 stand for?
ECCH2A1 stands for Elegoo Centauri Carbon H2 A1. It identifies the adaptor system that enables Bambu Lab H2-series and A1-series hotends to be mounted on compatible Elegoo printers.
What does the adaptor do?
The adaptor allows you to install Bambu Lab H2 hotends and A1 hotends on supported Elegoo printer models. This gives you higher performance, better cooling, and access to more nozzle options.
Which hotends are supported?
- Bambu Lab H2S hotends
- Bambu Lab A1 hotends
- ECCH2A1-compatible hotend assemblies
(Full compatibility list available on the product page.)
Which Elegoo printers are supported?
- Elegoo Centauri Carbon
If a specific model is not listed, contact support for compatibility confirmation. We may be able to adapt this to other printer model as well.
Is the adaptor plug-and-play?
The full kit is plug and play. It comes with a fan shroud you replace with the stock one. After installing that you plug in the ceramic heater and thermosistor to the daughter board behind the hotend. Use the two provided m3x16 screws to replace the stock ones when mounting the adaptor.

What material is the adaptor made from?
Your adaptor is printed in PPA-CF (carbon-fiber–reinforced polyphthalamide) or equivalent high-temperature engineering polymer, ensuring stability under the heat of the hotend and long-term mechanical strength.
Why PPA-CF?
PPA-CF offers:
- Excellent heat deflection when annealed
- Very low creep under constant load
- High stiffness and dimensional stability
- Long-term durability for printer head assemblies
Does the adaptor melt or deform during printing?
No. When printed and annealed properly, PPA-CF has a high heat deflection temperature suitable for the thermal environment around the hotend.
Does this affect my printer’s firmware?
No firmware modification is required, but you may need to adjust:
- Run Device Self Check after installation
- Z-offset
Does using this adaptor void my printer warranty?
Most manufacturers do not cover third-party modifications, so it may affect your warranty. However, the adaptor is entirely reversible and does not permanently modify the printer.
Can I switch back to the stock hotend?
Yes. Installation is fully reversible, and your printer can be restored to stock configuration at any time.
Is the adaptor design copyrighted?
Yes.
The ECCH2A1 adaptor is a copyrighted design owned by HeartForge LLC. Redistribution, commercial use, uploading, or sharing of the model files without permission is prohibited and subject to DMCA action.
This product is patent pending. All design elements, geometry, and functional features of the ECCH2A1 Adaptor are protected under U.S. Patent Application law.
Can I print the adaptor myself?
No. The model is not publicly distributed. For safety and performance consistency, only authorized printed versions are available for purchase.
What nozzles can I use with this setup?
Any nozzle compatible with the H2 or A1 hotend family (e.g., stainless, hardened, ruby, tungsten carbide).
Does this improve print quality?
In many cases yes — especially with high-flow nozzles or hotter engineering materials. Many users report:
- More consistent extrusion
- Reduced clogs
- Better cooling performance
- Faster print capability
